Manufacture and assembly of two bridges over the Segre river, for the passage of the intermediate drainage pipe of the Oliana dam (Lleida).
The main bridge has a total length of 56m. An inverted isosceles triangular lattice was designed, 2.5m wide x 3m high, which was divided longitudinally into three sections with bolted joints, in order to enable transport from our facilities in Monzón (Huesca) to the site. The bars are made of circular tubes of different sections: at the vertices of the triangle, arranged longitudinally, tubes of Ø406.4 x 12.5mm were used; the diagonals that join the two coplanar upper tubes of the lattice with the lower tube are Ø219.1x8mm at the ends and Ø139.7x5mm in the center; the diagonals that join the two upper tubes together are all Ø168.3x5mm. The bridge is equipped with supports for the pipe and a pedestrian walkway, with a railing and galvanized tramex on the floor, to be able to carry out maintenance tasks. The assembly was done from the C14 road, for which it was necessary to cut off the circulation of one of the lanes, in order to assemble the three sections into which the lattice was divided, and to place the two large tonnage cranes that were necessary to launch the bridge to its final location.
The second bridge has a total length of 28m. In this case, a Pratt beam was designed, 2.4m wide x 2.4m high, which was divided longitudinally into two sections with bolted joints. The bars are made of square and rectangular tubes with different sections. Like the previous one, this bridge is equipped with supports for the pipe and a pedestrian walkway for maintenance.
